At: DomestiCity

Title: Atelier in beeld 2026
╰(๑• ᴗ •)◞ ❁✿~~ Let’s decorate Domesticity¡
This weekend, more than 2,000 visual artists open the doors to their workspaces for this year’s Atelier in beeld. These spaces act as sanctuaries, as places to breathe, where imagination is allowed and hands do the thinking, offering a moment to process a world that moves too fast.

From 11:00 to 18:00, we will be
~~Stitching gordijntjes
We invite people to come stitch and embroider a communal gordijntje for the outside window of Domesticity using discarded fabrics and yarn, while sharing stories about how we decorate and inhabit our spaces, reminding us that these gestures are trivial acts of care.

~~Algae Yarn making workshop
We’ll experiment with alginate to spin a soft, slippery yarn, learning a few simple techniques you can easily try again at home. From there, we’ll use it to crochet small, sea-inspired forms, while reflecting on algae as a material and its environmental potential.

...Come thru and stay for the good times.
Bring your friends ~~ ❁✿ C U ;)
