(SUR)MONTAGE
THURSDAY 21/05
18:00
End: Thursday 28/05 - 22:00

At: PARAMOUR
Rue d'Arlon 104 Bruxelles

(Sur)montage is a collaborative project by the members of the shared workshop and cooperative Les Îles Mardi.

The exchange of practices, knowledge and techniques seems to shape our daily interactions and serves here as the central theme of this exhibition. Divided into several groups of exhibitors, selected at random, (Sur)montage is organised as a series of mini-curations, with each group comprising four or five artists who have had to find common ground through this chronological exploration of the construction of this space.

Since moving to Rue d'Arlon in 2024, Les Îles Mardi has increasingly focused on its members, evolving into a hybrid cooperative that supports, accommodates and pays its members. When the idea of putting on an exhibition together first arose, the first question asked was: how can we bring together so many different practices and aesthetics?

Through this first exhibition, we aim to showcase the cooperative’s development and diversity: from the construction of our premises to this exhibition in our new exhibition space.
