THE SCANDAL - OPEN MIC FOR POETS*: THE EXCLAMATION MARK EDITION!!!!
SATURDAY 25/04
16:30-19:00
At: La Balsamine
Av. Félix Marchal 1, 1030 Schaerbeek

cris and noï invite you to The Scandal, the Exclamation Mark !!!!!!!! edition at La Balsamine on the 25th of April.
“Are you ready for some poetry?”

The Scandal is an open mic for poets*, an invitation to play with text and performance beyond talent, and professionalism.

This edition invites you to try out what an exclamation mark can do.
Figuratively, literally, performatively, or metaphorically!
This could be for example by playing with rhythm, breaks, tone of voice, using audio, a prop or a prompt, instruments, by instructing your audience, involving movement, or in the content of your text.

We think about awe, wonder and enthusiasm.
Seeing something that was there already, anew.
Freshness, a line and a dot, finishing off!
The exclamation mark might have originated in an expression of joy.
What is its emotional range?
Bring out your whimsical selves !

All languages are welcome
Bring your own text to read
Max 6 minutes /pers. ( for real )

Doors open @ 4.30PM
Opening act 5PM

See you there, Scandalous ones.
cris & noï

*poets as a broad term
that is more a way of relating
to the world than a form of text-writing
