WORK IN PROGRESS

This website is still in development. Please note that this is a bottom-up initiative with very limited funding. If there are mistakes, please bear with us :) Would you like to contribute? Let us know by writing us an email on contact@brusselsartistrun.net

Want to be part of the Telegram group? Here’s a link. This is a community platform with a variety of thematic ’topics’ (events, space for work, space to live, shops & tools, jobs, etc). There are nearly 1200 users, and it’s growing rapidly.

Have fun, on behalf of the ‘BARN Core Team’, Esth (Level Five), Sophie (Level Five), Mariana (Level Five), Jesse (Jubilee), Milan (Domesticity), Észter (Artist Commons). Please join us if you like!

Initiatives with a space

Jean Volder, 24, 1060 Bruxelles

au JUS is a project space collectively run through role play and collective worlding. The project establishes a zone for prefigurative play and (re)enactment as research. The three-story building offers a site to explore LARP over extended periods and in communication with its local context and public. The archetypical off-space becomes a projection screen for other forms of public life. Motivated by the urgency and desire to prefigure actual transformations taking form beyond the realm of fiction, the project facilitates the spawning of temporary worlds as laboratories for thoughts. What do you envision in this space? Why would you come here? Who could you become here?

Open call for new members

au JUS is an artist-run project space run through role play and exercises of (un)worlding.

After two years of experimental programming, au JUS is announcing an open call for new members joining us from April 1st.

We are seeking new members who want to join us in building a program that centers games, speculative fiction, and collective practices to reflect, reimagine and rehearse social structures and forms of organizing.

If we don’t secure adequate support before June 2025, we’ll end our activities at the building at Avenue Jean Volders.

If you’re interested in joining au JUS and building our program, we encourage you to JOIN and look forward to welcoming you into our organisation.
